1- The assessment
As a general rule, students are continuously assessed, which encompasses, for all subjectmatters,
monitored home-work, written and oral quizzes, as well as preset exams scheduled by
the Administration.
a- Preschool Section: Nursery, KG1, KG2
• The student in this section will be promoted to the next grade if he/she has acquired,
during the school year, the whole curriculum that was established by the Administration.
• Ongoing assessment will allow judging the child's normal progress. Repetitive improper
reports pinpoint the student's inability to follow the class's pace, and that he might suffer
from, for instance, a difficulty that generates an academic delay. This student is handled
by the school in collaboration with the parents.
• Students' observation reports are recorded on personal "Report Cards" submitted on
regular basis to parents.
b- Primary Section (G1 - G6) and Intermediate Section (G7 - G9)
• Six yearly tests are scheduled for Grades 1, 2 and 3.
• Six yearly tests and exams are scheduled from Grades 4 to 9.
a) 2 monthly oral and written tests
b) 2 written assessments
c) 2 written and oral exams
